Winston – Update

Winston has been the best puppy! A lot of the credit besides genetics goes to Carol who has worked with him. We choose to brush him daily, sometimes twice. Often he falls over in our lap on his back and even falls asleep while we are brushing him. He lets us look in and touch his ears. I can hold his paws and look in his mouth. He only had three accidents and that was because he was mixing our green carpeting up as being grass. We have him going inside or outside whichever he chooses to use. I think the ease of this was because of Carol too. She cares so much about her puppies, even sending a little care package for them as they leave with a toy and lots of information. The vet was impressed that we had records that she provided of his medical history. We thank Carol for a wonderful sweet puppy. If we ever decide to get a brother or sister for Winston, we will definitely go through Carol again, we highly recommend her. I went through a breeder in the past that is no comparison to Carol. She has raised the bar.

Olivia – Update

Hi Carol,

It’s been a little while so I wanted to give you an update on Olivia. She’s doing fantastic! She has been such a joy for us to have as part of our family. Everywhere we take her everyone absolutely fawns over her. The principal at my son’s elementary school has even adopted her as their official school pup! She really likes people, but will always let us know if a stranger approaches the house.

She’s been through her first set of doggy classes. We are using Canine College in Farmington Hills. She’s learned a few tricks as well as polite greeting. She’s amazing when we take her out for walks, and yes, we make sure the sidewalk is not too hot. She’s made friends with the puppy next door. They really like to play together.

She’s now done with all her puppy shots and will be getting spade and chipped next month. The vet has given her a 100% clean bill of health.

We are so thankful to you and all the help you gave us during the adoption process. We couldn’t have asked for a sweeter dog. The boys absolutely adore their little sister.

Maggie – Update

Hi Carol,

Just thought you would want to see a recent picture of Maggie. The top of her head is much more blond, but so far she’s kept a lot of her caramel color and the dark tips of her ears and chin. She’s gorgeous!

Maggie is an absolutely wonderful dog!! Everyone who meets her simply adores her. My sister and niece were here from East Lansing this weekend, and both loved holding her and fell completely in love with her. Maggie’s so smart and has such a loving personality! She loves cuddling and giving kisses.

Maggie is much better on her leash etiquette (but still wants to run around and sniff everything), and pretty reliably knows sit, down, and come. Stay is a work work in progress — she has so much energy and wants to follow you — but we are working on it! Maggie loves to play with a food puzzle, sniffing out the kibbles and moving the covers and sliding knobs to find and eat the kibbles.

We had Maggie spayed and she came through with flying colors. She bounced right back to full energy the second full day after surgery, and it was a challenge keeping her from running around or playing with Ollie until she fully healed. But she hit the one-week post-op mark and has healed beautifully. Maggie has lost a few teeth and she’s teething like mad. But nothing interferes with her sweet personality!

Maggie and Ollie have really bonded. They play together a lot, and often take a nap curled up together. They have a giant stuffed lamb that they play with together, taking turns holding it while the other one shakes it. It’s quite funny and cute to watch.

Maggie has brought us a lot of laughter and joy. We are so glad we found you and were able to adopt her. Know that Maggie is well-loved and well taken care of.

I hope everything is well with you.
